About This Dataset
10 US States with the Highest Childhood Flu Vaccination Coverage, 2025–26
Connecticut leads at 74.6%, followed by Rhode Island (71.9%) and Massachusetts (69.7%). These are the ten highest state point estimates in Figure 2 of CDC’s October 8, 2026 final report. The District of Columbia (68.6%) is excluded because it is not a state; no state ties at the tenth-place cutoff. Coverage means at least one reported flu-vaccine dose received July 2025–May 2026 among children aged 6 months–17 years. NIS-Flu interviews ran October 2025–June 2026; the national child sample contained 112,408 interviews. Weighted parental reports were not verified against medical records and do not establish completion of a two-dose course. CDC used Kaplan–Meier cumulative coverage. The source shows 95% confidence intervals; numerical rank is not proof of significant differences. Recall, nonresponse and reporting bias remain possible. This completed season gives context before the 2026–27 flu season, not current-season uptake.

Analysis
Connecticut exceeds the US child estimate of 51.4% by 23.2 percentage points; Delaware exceeds it by 7.1 points. The first-to-tenth gap is 16.1 points. These are descriptive differences, not significance tests.
