About This Dataset
Top 10 Soybean-Producing US States, 2025
Illinois leads this top 10 ranking with 639.375 million bushels in the 2025 crop year. Iowa follows with 595.63 million bushels.
The chart uses USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) State Agriculture Overviews for 2025, retrieved on October 20, 2026. We checked all 50 state pages and ranked the 29 states with a published numeric production estimate for this crop. Only the ten largest estimates are shown.
The series is soybeans harvested for beans. Oil, meal and processed soy foods are outside this measure. Production is reported in million bushels. Source production counts are divided by 1,000,000. The converted values preserve the precision of the source counts.
These are survey-based production estimates for the 2025 harvest, not 2026 forecasts, exports or farm revenue. The overview figures incorporate revisions after the January 2026 annual summary. Missing or unreported state values are not treated as zero; this is not a complete 50-state table.
