Largest Stablecoins by Market Value 2026
About This Dataset
Largest Stablecoins by Market Value 2026How the data is collected. The list is CoinGecko's stablecoins category ordered by the same supply-times-price calculation applied to every other coin, so a stablecoin's place here moves with the number of tokens in circulation rather than with a price that barely changes. CoinGecko defines the group as cryptocurrencies designed to hold a stable value by being pegged to an external reference such as a fiat currency, and a coin has to be assigned to that category to appear at all.
Background. The group is overwhelmingly a dollar story: of the 290.80 billion CoinGecko's category page put in stablecoins, 288.10 billion sits in its USD Stablecoin sub-category and 276.82 billion in Fiat-backed Stablecoin. Two regulatory labels have become categories in their own right. MiCA-Compliant Stablecoin, named after the European Union rules, was worth 74.91 billion and is led by USDC, the euro-pegged EURC and Societe Generale's EURCV; GENIUS Act Compliant Stablecoin, named after the United States law, was worth 74.38 billion and is led by USDC and PayPal USD.
Limits. Category membership is an editorial decision, and the two endpoints that count it disagree: the fifty coins in the stablecoin list add up to 304.75 billion, while the category page reported 290.80 billion at the same minute. The peg is a design goal rather than a guarantee, and Falcon USD, the weakest of the fourteen, was quoted at 0.9958 dollars. Nothing in these numbers describes what an issuer actually holds in reserve, and a token can keep its price while its supply, which is what this chart measures, shrinks.
Tether is 2.47 times the size of USDC and 19.07 times the size of USDS in third place, so the step down from second to third is proportionally far bigger than the one from first to second. The fourteen listed here are worth 296.39 billion together, and the two largest supply 257.50 billion of that. Eleven of the fourteen are worth less than 5 billion each. The prices sit in a band of four tenths of a cent, from Falcon USD at 0.9958 dollars to Ripple USD at 0.99998, so the ranking is about supply rather than price: it takes 183.4 billion tokens in circulation to reach the top.
