Highest-Rated Currently Airing Anime 2026

What this chart shows. The ten highest-scoring anime that were still being broadcast when MyAnimeList's Top Airing page was read in September 2026. The fourth season of Re:Zero leads on 9.11, ahead of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - Kashin-tan and the Steel Ball Run adaptation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, both on 9.08.

How the data is collected. The page filters the database to titles whose broadcast has begun and not yet finished, then orders them by the same weighted score used everywhere else on the site. Entries that have not gathered enough votes carry no score and cannot appear, so a series usually needs several episodes on air before it shows up.

Background from the source. The list is not limited to Japanese television: four entries are ONA releases, the format MyAnimeList uses for anime streamed online first, and three of those - Link Click III, Renegade Immortal and Heaven Official's Blessing - are Chinese productions. One Piece, running since October 1999, sits fourth on 8.73 while continuing to broadcast new episodes.

Limits. This is the most changeable ranking on the site. A score based on a part-finished series can move sharply as later episodes air, and every title here will leave the list when its run ends. Audience sizes differ enormously - from 329,290 members for the leader to 12,494 for the smallest entry - so the scores rest on very different numbers of votes.
