Highest-Rated Anime Films on MyAnimeList 2026

What this chart shows. The ten anime films with the highest weighted score on MyAnimeList in September 2026. Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc and Gintama: The Final share the top place on 9.05, with A Silent Voice third on 8.93.

How the data is collected. Films are scored by the same members and the same weighted formula as television series, and are ranked on a separate page restricted to the movie format. A film therefore needs a large number of votes before it is shown with a score at all, which keeps recent releases out of the list until enough members have seen them.

Background from the source. Four of the ten entries are tied to a television series: two Gintama films, the Attack on Titan finale released in November 2024 and the Chainsaw Man film from September 2025. The remaining six stand alone, among them Your Name, Spirited Away from July 2001 - the oldest film here - and Violet Evergarden: The Movie.

Limits. Films carry far fewer votes than long-running series, so their scores move more when a title is newly released, and a spread of 0.28 points covers the entire top ten. Sequel films also draw an audience that already knows the series, which tends to lift a score compared with a film watched by newcomers.
