Most Popular Anime by MyAnimeList Members 2026

What this chart shows. The ten anime with the most members on MyAnimeList in September 2026. Attack on Titan tops the list with 4.43 million, narrowly ahead of Death Note on 4.36 million, with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood third on 3.74 million.

How the data is collected. A member count is the number of registered users who have put the title on a personal list - as watching, completed, on hold, dropped or planned. MyAnimeList says the Most Popular ranking is ordered by exactly that number, which makes it a measure of how many people have logged a show rather than of how much they liked it.

Background from the source. Because the count includes titles people plan to watch or gave up on, popularity and score move independently on the site. Four of the ten shows here also appear among the most-favourited anime, but only two of them, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Hunter x Hunter, are inside the site's highest-rated series.

Limits. The figure counts accounts, not viewers: someone who watched a series without an account is invisible here, and an account that has not been used for years still counts. Older shows have had more time to accumulate entries, while a show that streams widely outside the site can be watched far more than it is logged. The ranking therefore tracks attention among MyAnimeList's own community.
