Countries ranked by smoking prevalence (% of adults) in 2024, using World Bank figures for the 166 countries that reported that year. Timor-Leste leads on 48.80, ahead of Lebanon (46.90) and Myanmar (43.40). The share of adults aged 15 and over who smoke tobacco, from national surveys standardised for age by the World Health Organization. Countries survey in different years and smoking is under-reported where it is discouraged.
