Countries ranked by undernourished people (% of population) in 2023, using World Bank figures for the 165 countries that reported that year. Haiti leads on 54.20, ahead of Somalia, Fed. Rep. (53.20) and Madagascar (39.50). The share of the population whose usual food intake is below the energy needed for a healthy life, estimated by the FAO from food supply and distribution data rather than from surveys of individuals.
