The Czech Republic has topped global beer consumption every year since the early 1990s, and at roughly 129 litres per person it still drinks about a fifth more than second-placed Austria. Central and Eastern Europe fill most of the table. Namibia is the only non-European entry, a legacy of German colonial brewing that survives in its purity-law lagers.
