NBA Team Wins 2025-26
About This Dataset
NBA Team Wins 2025-26
What this chart shows. Regular-season wins for all 30 NBA teams in 2025-26, out of 82 games each. The Oklahoma City Thunder had the best record, 64-18, followed by the San Antonio Spurs at 62-20 and the Detroit Pistons at 60-22. The Washington Wizards won the fewest, 17.
How the data is collected. The records come from Basketball-Reference's conference standings, and all 30 match the standings tables in Wikipedia's article on the season. Play-in and playoff games are not included.
Background. The best record did not decide the title: the New York Knicks, third in the Eastern Conference with 53 wins, beat the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals, according to both Basketball-Reference and Wikipedia, and Jalen Brunson was named Finals MVP. The Knicks also won the in-season NBA Cup. 9 teams won at least 50 games.
Limits. Wins alone ignore schedule strength and the margin of victory, and teams in the same conference play each other more often. The chart does not apply the league's tie-breaking rules to teams with the same record.
