NBA Scoring Leaders 2025-26
About This Dataset
NBA Scoring Leaders 2025-26
What this chart shows. The 20 players who scored the most points per game in the 2025-26 NBA regular season. Luka Dončić of the Los Angeles Lakers led with 33.5 points per game over 64 games, followed by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder with 31.1 and Anthony Edwards with 28.8.
How the data is collected. Basketball-Reference compiles the statistics from the NBA's official box scores. To appear, a player had to play at least 58 of his team's 82 games, 70 per cent, the same cut-off Basketball-Reference applies to its own per-game leader lists; averages are total divided by games played.
Background. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was named the season's Most Valuable Player, according to Basketball-Reference and Wikipedia. 13 players in the chart averaged at least 25 points. Nikola Jokić scored 27.7 per game while also leading the league in rebounds and assists.
Limits. Several high scorers missed too many games to qualify: Giannis Antetokounmpo averaged 27.6 points in 36 games, Joel Embiid 26.9 in 38 and Stephen Curry 26.6 in 43. Averages are shown to one decimal, so players who look level, such as Kawhi Leonard and Donovan Mitchell at 27.9, may differ in the second decimal.
