Valve surveys a sample of Steam users each month and publishes what is inside their machines. This chart shows the most common graphics cards in the August 2026 survey, measured as a share of all surveyed users.
Analysis
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 is the single most common graphics card at 3.92% of surveyed machines, with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU next on 3.84%. No card reaches 4%, which is the real story: PC gaming hardware is extremely fragmented, and the twelve cards here together account for only 35.7% of users. Across the full survey NVIDIA cards hold 72.3% against 13.4% for AMD and 5.7% for Intel. 2 of the top twelve are laptop GPUs, a reminder that a large share of PC gaming now happens on portable machines.
