Article counts for the largest language editions of Wikipedia in September 2026. An article is any page in the main namespace with at least one internal link, so the count says nothing about length: several editions near the top were built largely by bots generating short entries from databases.
Analysis
English holds 7,236,462 articles, 1.18 times the 6,115,723 of Cebuano. The 15 editions here hold 39,550,305 articles between them. Article count and editing activity come apart sharply: Cebuano has 85% of English's articles but only 2.7% of its edits. The smallest edition on this chart, Arabic, has 1,331,511.
