Countries Hosting the Most Refugees 2024
The countries hosting the largest numbers of refugees and people in need of international protection at the end of 2024, according to UNHCR. Low- and middle-income countries host the large majority of the world's refugees, most of them fleeing to neighbouring states.
Analysis
Iran heads the table on 3,489,257, ahead of Turkey (2,940,735) and Germany (2,749,266) in Refugees Hosted (End of 2024). 2,971,853 separates the highest figure (3,489,257) from the lowest (517,404).
