Top Aerospace and Defence Companies by Revenue 2025

Aerospace and defence companies ranked by revenue in their 2025 financial year, in billions of US dollars. Boeing leads on 89.5, just 0.9 ahead of RTX on 88.6, with Airbus third on 83.0.

The table mixes two kinds of business. Boeing and Airbus earn most of their revenue from commercial aircraft, and RTX sits on both sides through its engine and avionics units and its Raytheon defence arm. Lockheed Martin (75.0), General Dynamics (52.6), Northrop Grumman (42.0), BAE Systems (37.4) and L3Harris Technologies (21.9) are primarily defence contractors. The eight companies recorded 490.0 billion between them, and Boeing's share of that is 18.3 percent — no company dominates this industry.

Every figure is the revenue reported in the company's own 2025 accounts. Airbus reports in euros (73.42 billion) and BAE Systems in pounds (28.34 billion); both are converted at the European Central Bank's 2025 average rates, 1 euro = 1.12998 dollars and 1 pound = 1.31885 dollars. BAE also publishes a larger "sales" figure of 30.7 billion pounds, which adds its share of joint ventures; the revenue line from its income statement is used here.

Revenue measures sales, not profit or order books. An aircraft order counts only when the aircraft is delivered, so a manufacturer with years of orders ahead of it can still record lower revenue than a defence contractor with smaller contracts that are billed as work proceeds.
