About This Dataset

Orbital Launches by Rocket Family 2025
Orbital launches in 2025 grouped by rocket family rather than by individual variant, so every Long March model is counted together and Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy share one entry. Attempts are counted, successful or not.
Analysis

The Falcon family flew 165 times in 2025, 50.0% of the 330 orbital launches attempted worldwide and 2.4 times the 69 of the Long March family. The 14 families here account for 311 launches, 94.2% of the year. 5 of them are Chinese. Grouping by family rather than by variant changes the picture: Long March is second here with 69 launches spread across its models.
