Countries with the Longest Life Expectancy 2024
About This Dataset
Countries with the Longest Life Expectancy 2024
Countries ranked by life expectancy at birth (years) in 2024, using World Bank figures for the 217 countries that reported that year. Monaco leads on 86.50, ahead of San Marino (85.82) and Hong Kong (85.39). Life expectancy at birth for the whole population, in years. It is a period measure built from the death rates recorded in that single year, so it describes conditions in that year rather than the lifespan of a child born into it.

Monaco (86.50), San Marino (85.82) and Hong Kong (85.39) take the top three. Across the twenty shown, values run from 86.50 down to 83.08, a spread of 3.42.
