Countries That Import the Most of Their Energy 2022
Countries ranked by energy imports (% of energy used) in 2022, using World Bank figures for the 72 countries that reported that year. Hong Kong leads on 175.7, ahead of Panama (171.2) and Cyprus (117.0). Net energy imports as a share of energy used. A negative figure means a country exports more energy than it uses; a figure above 100 per cent means the country imports more than it consumes, the rest leaving again as refined fuel or ships bunkers.
