The 20 countries with the highest sex ratio at birth in 2024, measured as male births per female birth. Liechtenstein is highest at 1.163 boys per girl, followed by Northern Mariana Islands at 1.151 and Azerbaijan at 1.113. Data covers 217 countries and territories.
Analysis
The natural ratio is about 1.05 boys per girl and the median country sits at 1.051. The top two entries here are very small populations, where a few hundred births in a year move the ratio sharply, so they are statistical noise rather than a pattern.
