Global Manufacturing Output by Year, 1997-2024
World manufacturing value added for every year from 1997 to 2024, one bar per year, in current US dollars. This is the World Bank's own world aggregate rather than the sum of the twelve countries in the by-country chart, so it covers every reporting economy. Because the figures are in current dollars they are not adjusted for inflation, and part of the rise reflects prices rather than volume.
