Analysis
The United States still holds the largest nuclear fleet in the world at 96.8 GW, ahead of France at 61.4 GW and China at 60.8 GW. Those three countries account for 56% of the 394 GW installed across all countries listed. The interesting comparison is France against China: France runs almost the same capacity on a grid one eighteenth the size, which is why nuclear supplies about two thirds of French electricity and only a small fraction of China's. The United Arab Emirates at 5.6 GW is the only newcomer in the top fifteen, having had no nuclear power at all a decade ago.
