Countries that imported the most electricity on a net basis in 2024, in terawatt-hours. Net imports are electricity brought in from neighbouring grids minus electricity sent out.
Analysis
The top three in Net Electricity Imports (TWh) in 2024 are Italy (51), United Kingdom (33.2) and Thailand (32.4). Italy tops the list without dominating it, holding 20.4% of what the 15 entities record between them. Only 4 of the 15 reach even half the leader's figure (25.5 or more).
