About This Dataset
Pecan Production in Five Reported US States, 2025
Georgia leads the displayed comparison with 111.5 million pounds. New Mexico records 76.
USDA NASS annual production estimates provide context for seasonal foods before Halloween and Thanksgiving. These farm-output figures do not measure holiday purchases, retail prices or consumption.
All five states in the USDA table are covered: Georgia, New Mexico, Texas, Arizona and Oklahoma. Their utilized production totals 284.26 million pounds. This is not a census of every state growing pecans.
Values combine improved, native and seedling pecans on an in-shell basis. Subcategories are not added to state totals again. Thousand pounds are divided by 1,000; shelled kernel weight is a different measure.
Sources checked October 22, 2026. This is a static, dated comparison; later source revisions may change the figures. Equal values represent ties regardless of display order.
