What this chart shows. The 16 players with at least 6 assists in the 2025-26 Premier League season. Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United led with 21, far ahead of Rayan Cherki with 12 and Jarrod Bowen with 11.

How the data is collected. An assist is the last pass or touch before a goal, as recorded by the Premier League's official statistics service; this chart uses its season ranking for league matches only.

Background. Bruno Fernandes won the Premier League's Playmaker award and was named Player of the Season. Wikipedia's season article cites the league's announcement of the award under the headline "with record". His 21 assists were 9 more than the next player managed.

Limits. Assist decisions involve judgement about deflections and second touches, so other data providers can give slightly different totals. Players on 5 assists, a large group, are left out.

Analysis

Bruno Fernandes had more than one and a half times as many assists as Rayan Cherki in second place. Erling Haaland, the league's top scorer, also made 8 assists.
