Countries with the Most Forest Cover 2021
Countries ranked by forest area (% of land) in 2021, using World Bank figures for the 214 countries that reported that year. Suriname leads on 94.60, ahead of Micronesia (92.07) and Gabon (91.27). Forest as a share of total land area, under the FAO definition of land with tree cover over five metres tall. It measures extent, not the condition of the forest.
