The twenty countries with the lowest forest area (% of land) in 2023, from World Bank figures for the 213 countries that reported that year. Greenland records the lowest figure at 0.00054, with Oman (0.00762) and Egypt (0.04519) next. Forest as a share of total land area, under the FAO definition of land with tree cover over five metres tall. It measures extent, not the condition of the forest.
