Those gaps have almost closed at the top: China reached 92.0 percent by 2024 against 94.7 for the United States, and Russia is at 94.4. Russia is the largest single move in the chart, from 2.0 percent to 94.4, a gain of 92.4 points, with China just behind on 90.2. India rose 64.4 points to 64.9 percent and is still roughly where Brazil was in 2015. The countries that have not converged are the ones to look at: Nigeria is at 41.2 percent in 2024, lower than the United States managed in 2000, and Indonesia at 72.8 and Egypt at 74.6 sit about twenty points below the leaders. The United Kingdom is the steadiest line here, passing 90 percent in 2015 and moving only 3.5 points in the nine years since.
