Spanish La Liga Titles by Club
This chart ranks Spanish clubs by top-flight league titles won since the competition began in 1929. Only clubs that have won at least one title are included.
About This Dataset
Spanish La Liga Titles by ClubReal Madrid lead with 36 titles to Barcelona's 29, and the two rivals have won 65 of the championships between them, the most extreme two-club concentration in any major European league. Atletico Madrid are a distant third on 11, meaning the capital city alone accounts for 47 titles. Athletic Bilbao's eight are notable given the club's long-standing policy of fielding only Basque players, though most were won before 1960. Valencia's six complete the group of clubs with more than two. The tail is remarkably thin: Real Sociedad have two, while Deportivo La Coruna, Sevilla and Real Betis have exactly one each, and only nine clubs have ever won the Spanish title in nearly a century.
