Best-Selling Mobile Phones of All Time
This chart ranks the best-selling individual mobile phone models of all time by units sold worldwide, measured in millions. It includes both classic feature phones and modern smartphones.
About This Dataset
Best-Selling Mobile Phones of All TimeThe two best-selling phones in history are both Nokia feature phones, the Nokia 1100 and Nokia 1110, each at an estimated 250 million units, sold largely in developing markets during the 2000s. Apple's iPhone 6 and 6 Plus lead all smartphones at 222.4 million, the only smartphone to approach the top Nokia models. The list is essentially a contest between two eras: rugged, affordable Nokia feature phones such as the 1100, 1110, 105 series and 3210, and a run of iPhone generations from the 5S through the 11. That no Android smartphone appears in this top ten reflects how Android sales are split across many manufacturers and models, while Apple concentrates demand into a few flagship devices each year.
