Dota 2 World Championship Titles by Team, 2011-2025

Cumulative The International championships won by each team from the first tournament in 2011 to 2025. Dota 2's world championship has never been dominated the way other esports have: fourteen editions have produced eleven different champions, and only three organisations have ever lifted the Aegis of Champions twice.

About this chart race

For eleven straight editions every champion was a first-time champion. OG broke that in 2019 by going back-to-back, still the only team to defend the title, and Team Spirit and Team Liquid have since joined them on two. No team has ever won three. The 2020 edition was cancelled because of COVID-19, which is why the chart holds flat for a year.

This animated ranking shows how cumulative dota 2 world championship titles changed across 11 series between 2011 and 2025. The bars re-order themselves as the years advance, so overtakes are visible as they happen rather than hidden inside a table. Use the list on the left to choose exactly who competes, drag the slider to jump to any year, or open the table view to read the underlying numbers.

As of 2025, Team Spirit leads with 2 titles.
