Countries with the Highest CO2 Emissions per Person 2024

About This Dataset

Countries with the Highest CO2 Emissions per Person 2024
Countries ranked by CO2 emissions (tonnes per person) in 2024, using World Bank figures for the 203 countries that reported that year. Palau leads on 82.84, ahead of Qatar (47.33) and Bahrain (23.90). Carbon dioxide emitted per resident, counting fuel burnt inside the country. Emissions from making imported goods count against the exporting country, oil and gas producers carry the emissions of processing fuel that others burn, and a microstate where ships and aircraft refuel records that fuel against its own small population.
