This chart ranks clubs by titles won in Asia's premier club competition, covering the Asian Champion Club Tournament, the AFC Champions League and its current form, the AFC Champions League Elite.
About This Dataset
AFC Champions League Titles by ClubAl-Hilal of Saudi Arabia lead with four titles, ahead of South Korea's Pohang Steelers and Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds on three each. Asia's top club competition is by far the most open of any continent: the leader has just four titles, compared with Real Madrid's 15 in Europe and Independiente's seven in South America, and no club has ever dominated it. The spread of nationalities in the top ten is unmatched anywhere, taking in Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Japan, Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Israel. Maccabi Tel Aviv's two are a historical curiosity, won when Israel still competed in Asian football before moving to UEFA. Al-Hilal's four came with five final defeats, the most losses of any club.
