UEFA Cup Winners' Cup Titles by Club
This chart ranks clubs by titles won in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, a competition for domestic cup winners that ran from 1961 until it was abolished in 1999 and merged into the UEFA Cup.
About This Dataset
UEFA Cup Winners' Cup Titles by ClubBarcelona lead with four titles, double the tally of any other club, and are the only side to win the Cup Winners' Cup more than twice in its 39-year history. Anderlecht, Milan, Chelsea and Dynamo Kyiv follow with two each. The competition was notable for spreading success widely rather than concentrating it, a direct result of its entry rules: only domestic cup winners qualified, so a club's league strength was irrelevant and unfashionable sides could reach the final. Dynamo Kyiv's two titles made them the most successful Soviet club in European competition. Chelsea's second title in 1998 came in the penultimate edition, one year before the trophy was abolished and folded into the UEFA Cup.
