Dutch Football Championship Titles by Club
This chart ranks Dutch clubs by national championship titles won across the full history of Dutch football, including the early amateur championships that predate the professional Eredivisie founded in 1956.
About This Dataset
Dutch Football Championship Titles by ClubAjax lead with 36 titles, ahead of PSV Eindhoven on 27 and Feyenoord on 16, the traditional big three who together hold 79 championships. What makes this list unusual is its long historical tail: HVV Den Haag's 10 titles, Sparta Rotterdam's six, RAP's five and Koninklijke HFC's three were won in the amateur era around the turn of the twentieth century, when clubs that are now minor or defunct competed at the top. HVV Den Haag would rank fourth all-time despite not winning since 1914. AZ's two titles, in 1981 and 2009, represent the only modern challenge to the big three, making the Netherlands one of Europe's most closed leagues in the professional era.
