Countries That Eat the Most Fruit
This chart ranks countries by fruit supply per person in 2022, in kilograms per year. The figure measures food available for consumption rather than what is actually eaten, so waste is included and real intake is somewhat lower.
About This Dataset
Countries That Eat the Most FruitDominica leads with 529.1 kg of fruit per person per year, meaning roughly 1.4 kg a day and over 150 kg more than the Dominican Republic on 377.6. Tropical geography dominates completely: every country in the top ten grows fruit year-round, and small Caribbean states take five of the places through Dominica, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, Antigua and Barbuda and Saint Kitts and Nevis. Guyana's 324.2 and Papua New Guinea's 216.2 extend the pattern to South America and the Pacific. Uganda at 215.9 is the only African entry, driven overwhelmingly by bananas and plantains, which are dietary staples there rather than snacks. Albania on 200.5 is the sole European country present.
